According to the Google Mobile Blog, Google has updated their search application in the Google Mobile application to allow searching via voice in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
It was first developed for English, and then they added Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, but they are always continuing to expand the languages.
The newly added languages are designed for accents from France, Germany, Italy & Spain. If you speak Swiss German or Peruvian Spanish, the search feature might not work well.
