First Impressions of Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.743

So I have been running the new os for my 9700 since last night and there are few things that I have noticed.

1) My reboot time has been reduced to 2 minutes.  This is a dramatic reduction as I believe I was closer to 4 minutes on previous OS’s.

2) It seems to be a smaller OS as my memory did seem to change from approx. 104mb up to 111mb ( the file size is 128.307 MB)

3) My signal strength seems to be slightly better in out lying areas ( I am in Canada and not sure what the change will be elsewhere)

4) While I don’t use it some people are having issues with Visual Voice Mail and having to downgrade, so this might not be the build for you if you do use VVM.

I have yet to notice anything else, while I’m sure there will be people saying that the browser is faster and the device feels ‘snappier’, it all feels about the same to me.

In terms of battery life I have yet to notice any change, however I am a heavy user and usually drain the battery down to 10% everyday between the hours of 6am and 10pm and keep a spare battery on hand for super busy days.

If anyone else has noticed anything new or different on this build please drop a comment here or head on over to the forums and let us know what you have found.
