So it appears that Verizon is now offering prepaid plans for Blackberry users, starting yesterday. You will need to be signed up on a minimum $30 plan to qualify for it, but this will allow you to stay away from signing up on a contract. There is no sign as of yet as to what device prices will be on this plans, but obviously they will not be reduced to the same amount as on a contract.
