When it rains it pours! Not only was the highly anticipated new Blackberry Torch 9800 released in Canadian, but it is now available in the UK.
Yesterday Phones4U confirmed on Twitter yesterday that the Torch would be available online and in stores starting today, October 1st.
“You’ll be able to get it on the Orange and Vodafone networks for free on a 2 year contract. Orange tariffs start from £35. This will give you 600 mins, 3000 texts and unlimited BlackBerry data every month. Vodafone tariffs start from £37.50, giving you 800 mins, 3000 texts and 1GB BlackBerry data every month.”
It is great to finally see other countries and carriers get the Torch! I myself grabbed a Rogers branded unit (or non-branded as the case may be) yesterday and find it much better all around than my AT&T version. Hopefully the same build quality will be available to our UK readers.
If you are a Orange of Vodafone customer and are getting a Torch please drop us a comment or head over to the Nerdberry Forums and let us know what you think of it!
