There have been numerous rumors floating around in regards to the launch date of the Bold 9780. Well it seems that Virgin Mobile is slotted to launch the device on October 21st if the advertising material pics are true. I know some of you are wondering why Virgin mobile would be the first to launch this device in Canada….. Well if you remember back a month or so you will recall that the same date has previously been tossed around for both a Telus and Rogers launch. I for one cannot see the Big 3 carriers in Canada allowing Virgin Mobile to get a jump on them.
The very interesting thing about this pic is that Virgin is advertising the 9780 as a ‘refresh’ which I would have thought most carriers would have avoided as we all know there are going to be quite a few recent 9700 owners that will be slightly angry about this refresh model. Hopefully this launch date will not become another ‘Torch Debacle’ for the Canadian carriers.
