While we have previously seen some press shots of Virgin Mobile Canada showing the 9780 launching this year, this latest lineup pic confirms not only the launch date but also the price. This holiday lineup confirms the date of October 21st, which had been tossed around earlier, and the price at $149.99 on a contract or with Virgin’s Supertab offer. Another bonus of this ad is that it seems the 9780 will also be available in white, which has become a very popular color for Blackberry these days.
Now I am sure that those of you with a keen eye noticed that the picture they have used for the 9780 is actually a Bold 9650, but don’t worry I’m sure that is just and over sight. There is still no word from any of the ‘Big 3′ carriers in Canada regarding their release dates for the 9780, but it would only make sense that it will be around the same time.
I truly believe that the 9780 may end up being more popular than the 9800 Torch as there are many Blackberry users that are unwilling to give up the 9700 form factor. What do you think….
