NerdBerry Review: AddOnIs By Twinkler Software

AddOnIs brings a lot to the table when it comes down to call management for your BlackBerry. It can do many things that the BlackBerry OS simply does not offer. For the complete list of features please visit The AddOnIs Page.  From that list alone I can tell you that I use the majority of them. We will start with the basic ones.

Adding a new contact after you have dialed a new numbers is very simple AddOnIs automatically Identifies new numbers that you have never dialed since installing the app. It will give you the options to save into a new contact right after the call ends. If you don’t want it to be saved and you also don’t want to keep asking you everytime you either call or receive a call from that number just make sure to select the appropriate option. Another option I found helpful without needing yet another application is being able to distinguish when you have a missed call just from the colors blinking in your LED. Set it to something other than red and maybe create a pattern and presto.

I am simply naming a few of the features that I use the most and that I think make AddOnIs what it is. Call Firewall is very helpful to me. If you get many “unknown”, “private”, or just numbers outside of your contact list it will block them according to what you set it to. This can be set to “Pick up and hang up”, “Hang up” which they are pretty obvious send it to VM or not. The Call Firewall also gives you an option to block calls on a specified “Block list” and or call/receive only those on the “White list”.

Many other notable features I use and are pretty self explanatory are:

Vibrate on call connect/disconnect

“Auto WiFi Power Off”, if WiFi is out of coverage

Blocked Call Log shows complete list of rejected calls

Send Contact to Call Firewall Blacklist/Whitelist

Now for my favorite part! What is my take on this application? For a small one time price of $6.99 this application is a powerhouse when it comes to what it can do. After review of this product for quite some time I still find new options and new ways to do things. This really simplifies the BlackBerry experience. I mean c’mon when is the last time you said “man I wish I would not have to go through all these steps to do something easy”! Well the time has come for you to enjoy what AddOnIs by Twinkler Software has to offer. You don’t need multiple apps to do all of this. I give AddOnIs the following rating based on the long list of features its efficiency and the low low price compared to other apps that only offer a portion of what this app has:
