QNX comming to BlackBerry when dual core processors are ready

Mike Lazaridis Co-CEO of  RIM  went on record today stating that they will bring QNX to the Blackberry Smartphone platform once the Dual core CPUs are available to handle it. This comes on the heels of the Nexus S being released with a single core processor despite the rumor it would release with a multi-core CPU. This is evidence that RIM is aware that the QNX platform is too beefy for today’s smartphone platform, but BlackBerry OS is not enough. At least this shows that RIM has an eagerness to bring the multi-core CPUs to their devices first. A major limiting factor right now though is power consumption.
