Shape services newest beta (IM+ Talk) is touting that it has some new VoIP features. This will enable VoIP calls over 3g and edge networks. Although edge networks may be a little choppy due to bandwidth limitations. Its still half duplex (only one person can speak at a time) so its not perfect yet but its at least some progress. after all the wright brothers didnt make a cross country flight their first few attempts either.
