Last year a new IT Policy rule for SharePoint showed up in BES 5.0 Service Pack 3. Paul over at InfoWorld has been able to confirm the RIM is working on the SharePoint client now. RIM is also working on a middleware capability for enterprise application integration called BEAM (BlackBerry Enterprise Application Middleware) The Microsoft SharePoint client from RIM is to be released “early this year.” The new SharePoint client will let users to manage documents and SharePoint shares. It will also give access you to SharePoint calendar events with integration with the email, calendar, and browser on the BlackBerry.
