Australian Government Approves the BlackBerry PlayBook For Use!

Research in Motion seems to be on fire with government approvals. First the PlayBook  gets FIPS Government Certification & More, Russian Government may decide to Ban the iPad and now the The Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) has approved the BlackBerry PlayBook for use by Australian Governmental agencies. The DSD has strict guidelines that agency staff must follow when using the PlayBook.

“We will continue to work with government departments and organisations locally and internationally to ensure that employees can access and share information with ease and in the knowledge that their information is protected at the highest level,” Scott Deacon, Manager Security Certifications at Asia Pacific BlackBerry Security said in a statement this morning.

“This again demonstrates our leadership in the government sector and our commitment and investment in secure mobile technology.”

This is great for RIM to get the PlayBook in the hands of government officials. Please feel free to share you thoughts on this post.
