Well if you haven’t heard yet RIM is holding a BB7FanNight this Wednesday in Toronto, Canada. There have been plenty of rumors flying around about what exactly we are going to hear and see from RIM at this event, and the hours leading up to it. Although the Bold Touch 9900/9930 have already made their way onto the Blackberry.com website, we have still not heard anything official regarding the other BlackBerry 7 devices that are set to launch this year. Sure none of them are really a surprise anymore as we have seen numerous leaked photos and videos, but until they are made official by RIM themselves there is still a small bit of doubt in everyone’s minds.
With the name of the event not including the 9900 solely one would assume that we are going to see multiple BlackBerry 7 devices get shown off, and hopefully see some official announcements as well. If we are really lucky RIM will announce these other devices with a press release either tomorrow or the day of the event to allow us all of us not going to get a dose of some BlackBerry 7 goodness. While many of people have said that if it was a big announcement they would not pick Toronto as the location, but there is also a London, England event happening on the same day, and most of us are pretty sure that we will see the 9900 and other new BlackBerry 7 devices get launched within days of each other on numerous carriers around the World. So does it still not make sense for a Canadian company to make a major announcement in Canada and celebrating it with some true BlackBerry fans? I for one think that this makes perfect sense, but that is only my humble opinion ( and I may be a little biased being Canadian myself).
With the Wednesday event only a mere 48 hours away the good news is we don’t have to wait long to see if RIM announces the Torch 9810 and Torch 9850/9860, or perhaps we may even see some of the new Curve devices. Alas with time on our side, and RIM holding all the cards, we would like to wager a bet and go “all in” on us seeing some new BlackBerry 7 devices other than the Bold Touch 9900/9930 at the BB7FanNight in Toronto.
