You may call it peer pressure, Blackberry style. Telus dropped their prices by $50 on a new 3 year contract and in response, Virgin Mobile did the exact same thing. But there is a catch, the internal document above says they will drop the price for those members who are eligible for an upgrade and “claims that Telus is offering a BlackBerry at a lesser price than Virgin Mobile.”
Virgin’s pricing is :
BlackBerry Torch 9810: $74.99
BlackBerry Torch 9800: $24.99
BlackBerry Bold 9900: $94.99
BlackBerry Bold 9780: $0
The above offer is going on until October 5th. Virgin.ca has offers on these same phones, with gift cards instead and you don’t need to call retentions for it.
