BlackBerry Bold 9900 NFC Mobile MasterCard Approved

MasterCard has cleared the BlackBerry Bold 9900 to be used as a NFC device in its PayPass System.  Most of you have seen the new credit card machines that have the NFC readers attached to the machine itself.

If you haven’t they look something similar to this:

Basically what this means is that you will be able to use your BlackBerry as your MasterCard by moving it across the NFC scanner.  This means you can save time instead of having to search for your MasterCard, swiping it, and returning it to your wallet.

Based off of what we have researched MasterCard is the first NFC enabled company that has certified the Bold 9900 as a NFC embedded device with secure connection capabilities.  You can read more about this here
