There have been some rumors that Adobe was looking to transition away from Flash to HTML5 for mobile devices. This morning Adobe has confirmed that they will no longer be developing Flash Player for mobile. Adobe will be continuing to support the desktop Flash Player for the foreseeable future. Adobe will also be looking to push developers to use AIR for a more native environment.
So what does this mean for mobile devices? Well it means that BlackBerry BBX devices will be perfectly situated as we know that HTML5 is what RIM has decided to go with. In terms of Android this of course means that there will have to be a change from the norm.
