Google’s Director of Android User Experience, Matias Duarte Willing to Work with RIM on Android QWERTY Devices

Just this morning we told you how RIM could partner with Microsoft with BB10 Delay.To add more fuel to the fire Google’s Director of Android User Experience, Matias Duarte, let ABC News know:

“If RIM wanted to work on Android devices, I would really welcome that. They clearly make great physical keyboards.”

Mr. Duarte comes from Palm where he was incharge of software design, now he is one of the leads on the Nexus devices. Mr. Duarte went on to tell ABC News :

“I am still a huge fan of hardware keyboards,” Duarte told ABC News in an interview. “Many of the products I have worked on in the past  have had them. I think there is a place for them — it’s all about choice and different types of devices. I would love, personally, to have a portrait oriented device, like we made at Palm.”
