Alexandra Zagury is RIM’s new MD and VP for Southern Africa and SA. Along with her new responsibilities, she had to respond to the negative reports about RIM.
Right away she did her best to put down the rumors of RIM’s negative reports, saying “they are not portraying a genuine picture of the company”.
Market share is a big issue to RIM and she mentioned that Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia are big Blackberry markets.
The US media is most critical of RIM, in her words that’s ironical because the US has nothing to offer the telecommunications world. RIM is trying very hard to bounce back in this bad economy and the US media has nothing but bad things to say.
Sounds like Miss Zagury is a smart well spoken woman and RIM did well to hire her.
