Research In Motion has decided to kill off AOL IM for BlackBerry. Effective September 19, 2012 “users will not be able to download, install and/or use and/or receive support for the AOL® Instant Messenger™ (AIM) for BlackBerry® smartphones”. Now it is not like we didn’t see this one coming , I mean who really uses AOL IM? What is a bit surprising is the the fact that AOL built a replacement application for BlackBerry which you can download here: AIM for BlackBerry built by AOL
