Research In Motion has released an update to BlackBerry Bridge, this update takes us to version 2.1.0.34. BlackBerry Bridge lets you pair your BlackBerry smartphone with a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to get even more features, features like BBM, text messages access to your email, calendar, contacts, memopad, tasks and more! Normally when we see a Bridge update we see a BlackBerry PlayBook OS update within a few hours or a day or so. Hit the break to find out what’s new.
What’s New?
- This update includes bug fixes for text messages and pairing.
BlackBerry® Bridge™ allows you to pair you BlackBerry® smartphone with a BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet to:
- Use your smartphone’s keyboard, trackpad and touchscreen to remotely control your PlayBook™ tablet.
- Browse the web on your tablet using your existing BlackBerry® smartphone’s connection, if supported by your wireless service provider.
- Get access to your email, calendar, contacts, memopad, tasks and BBM – all on the large tablet display.
Note: Bridge Remote Control feature requires BlackBerry® Tablet OS v2.0 to be installed on your tablet.
Note: If you’re having trouble re-installing BlackBerry Bridge, update or re-download the latest available version of App World 3.1.0.x, which is available as an over the air download from www.blackberry.com/AppWorld
Note: If you cannot find the “Add new tablet“ button after launching the Bridge app on your Smartphone and turning Bluetooth ON, you might have downloaded the wrong version of the app. Try uninstalling and re-installing the app again.
