There is something strange afoot this morning, as it seems that the Google Mobile Apps for BlackBerry have gone missing. Google Maps has been the go-to maps app for BlackBerry for quite some time now, but whether intentional or not, it no longer appears when you try to download it onto your BlackBerry from the traditional m.google.com page. After a little digging it seems that if you go to google.com/mobile/other you can still download the usual Google Web Apps for BlackBerry.
Usually when you visit the site that Google recommends here from your BlackBerry you are greeted with a laundry list of Android apps from Google. However if you visit from an iOS device you see the appropriate list of Google iOS apps. So has Google decided to stop BlackBerry support? Or is this merely a mistake? As far as we know Google has not made any official statements regarding BlackBerry support, so we are assuming this is just a little coding error from their re-design that will be remedied shortly. As we suspected it just looks like a little mistake that I am sure Google is working on fixing.
