The current Blackberry users and new to Blackberry account for more than half that are planning on getting a Blackberry 10 device.
According to surveys that Scotia Capital analyst Gus Papageorgiou has seen, 70% of existing RIM subscribers plan to upgrade. That would be massive and I can’t quite imagine that’s possible even in my wildest dreams. However, 30-40 million out of 80 million seems very doable (including a few million of completely new BlackBerry subscribers).
Of those users, I would like to know how long they have been using a Blackberry device. Because I am sure there are going to be lots of people who have loyalty to the brand. I also would like to know what has kept them with Blackberry when so many people have been jumping ship.
