Rumored BlackBerry X10 and Z10 Price Points, and OS Update Schedule!

Our friends from across the water have been given some insider news as to what the price points will be for the new upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices. According to Land of Tech  points to that the 4 major US carriers will have both the X10 and Z10 in stock and available on contract for

$149 and on February 5th. If you are choosing to purchase the device outright and unlocked it will cost you $600 for the Z10 and $549 for the X10.

The BlackBerry PlayBooks will receive their BlackBerry 10 update the first week of February and the Dev Alpha units will be updated to the full retail release of BlackBerry 10 on January 30th launch date.

All BlackBerry 10 devices will support Android Sideloading

As usual we take rumors like this with a grain of salt, but these price points and the update schedule does seem to add up to what we have heard thus far

    Im not believing the Feb 5 date. My spouse works for one of 4 major carriers, and she has not seen it in their system, or received training on BB 10. I hope its true though!

    Take it with a very large grain of salt. One Canadian carrier is RUMOURED to have a release date of Feb. 5. Re PB, what is their source?

    I was told PlayBook would get a Dev beta of bb10 within a week of launch from the phones. We will see.
