With BlackBerry Live set to kick off on Tuesday, we will be flying into Orlando tomorrow to get all set up to bring you the most update BlackBerry coverage. BlackBerry has just released a nice update for Facebook for legacy BlackBerry devices! This update takes the version to 4.0.0.13, this update brings Enhanced navigation and more! Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones makes it even easier to connect with friends and share your news while you’re on the go. Discover all the great ways Facebook works with your BlackBerry smartphone to help you stay connected and on top of your social life.

What’s new:

Enhanced navigation – navigation grid replaced by a navigation list that slides from the left, friends and pages separated and updated notification header
Photo enhancements – comment, like and tag while viewing full screen photos
Pull to refresh

Facebook 4.0 is for BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or higher.

UberSocial for Twitter and Facebook Updated to v1.416 for Legacy BlackBerry Devices – Lots of Bug Fixes!

UberSocial has released an update to their very popular BlackBerry application UberSocial for Twitter and Facebook. This update brings it to version 1.416 with lots of fixes and more! UberSocial has to my all-time favorite Twitter application for any mobile platform! Hit the break for more info!

What’s new?

Fixed bug where your own tweets weren’t highlighted in a different color
Fixed bug where under certain circumstances you couldn’t load older tweets
Fixed bug where it wouldn’t retrieve the list of users that retweeted one of your tweets.
Removed Lockerz photo service, defaulting to Twitters
Changed the default number of tweets to retrieve in your timeline to 100
Fixed bug where devices where devices where the time or timezone weren’t set correctly couldn’t connect to Twitter
Fixed bug where you couldn’t delete a direct message
Changed search timeline to the max of 100 tweets each request
Fixed bug where list timelines could not load older tweets.
Fixed bug in Facebook feed where date/time might overlap in some situations.

Mippin’s BlackBerry App Generator Built 20,000 apps in 36 hours

Talk about a huge milestone for Mippin and Research In Motion 20,000 applications built in only 36 hours. The 20,000 applications were built using Mippin’s BlackBerry App Generator. We also used the BlackBerry App Generator to create the NerdBerry applications for BlackBerry devices.

Across the 36 hours, we saw over 5,000 BlackBerry 10 apps built on the App Generator. And what’s more, for each app we automatically built a separate binary for BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry OS5/6, OS7 and PlayBook… a total of over 20,000 unique app binaries.

BlackBerry App World Re-branded to BlackBerry World Web Store

Back during BlackBerry Jam Asia Research In Motion announced that they would be re-branding BlackBerry App World to just BlackBerry World. Well it looks like this change is in motion for RIM. They sent out an e-mail to NerdBerry letting us know that they have re-branded BlackBerry App World’s web store to just BlackBerry World. Hit the break for more!

In the coming weeks, BlackBerry customers will also see the new name on BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablets, followed by BlackBerry® smartphones.

Marmalade Releases 6th Planet for PlayBook

Marmalade has released 6th Planet by Monkube for the BlackBerry PlayBook. As you can see from the above video 6th Planet is also available for the iPhone. 6th Planet tells the story of a near future, where the planet Saturn suddenly changes into a possible place for humans to live. To find out what is going on, a monkey is sent into space. This is the beginning of a series of events that will determine mankind’s future.

The goal of the game is to guide your space pod to the landing site on the other side of the level. With only two buttons to work with, it is a simple concept that’s easy to pick up, but hard to master. The Story Mode contains 50 levels, divided across 7 worlds. This stands for at least four hours of gameplay. If you succeed in finishing this mode, you unlock the Master levels, which is a collection of very challenging levels for you to try out. This mode will be updated in the future with more content.

The comic story, in between the levels, consists of a total of 188 screens, which is two comic books worth of images. The story is co-written and drawn by the studio that’s responsible for the Oscar nominated animation films The Triplets of Belleville and The Secret of Kells. Screens are colored by Raymund Lee, famous for his work on Marvel’s Wolverine series.

A look at the BlackBerry 10 Clock

Yesterday we had a nice look at Bedtime Mode on Blackberry 10, today we are taking a look at the Blackberry 10 clock. As you can see in the images below you have the regular clock (which we have seen before), The Stopwatch, World clock, and Timer. After seeing the Bedtime Mode clock on BlackBerry 10 we hope that we can use the same orange display for the regular clock as well. Hit the break to see all of the images.

Leaked Image Shows BlackBerry 10 Voice Control -You can send messages, make calls, search and more!

A new image showing off BlackBerry 10 voice control shows us what you can do! As you can see from the image BlackBerry 10 voice control lets you send messages, make calls, search and a lot more! The image does resemble Apple’s Siri a tiny bit, but we can assume that the BlackBerry 10 voice control application will be much better then Apple’s Siri.
