Official Statement From RIM on the BlackBerry PlayBook DingleBerry Root – DingleBerry Gets a Website!

RIM has broken their silence on the BlackBerry PlayBook being rooted and issued the following official statement:

Rumor: Blackberry London to be called The BlackBerry “Surfboard”!?!

There are rumors swirling around the interwebs today the RIM has renamed the BlackBerry London to the BlackBerry “Surfboard”. The BlackBerry “Surfboard” is said to be RIM’s first BBX device running core OS from QNX. The rumor goes on to say,

BBM Running on the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.X?!?

Not too long ago we saw an image posted on the BlackBerry App World web page that showed off BBM as an application running on the PlayBook. Now BBIN.in  was able to snap a screenshot during the BlackBerry webcast yesterday that showed BBM running on the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.xxxx.
