“We’re not done with BlackBerry,” said Lois Eichelberger Fagan, director of product portfolio for Sprint Nextel, in an interview with CNET on Tuesday at the CTIA Wireless conference. “There’s more to come.”

There’s no confirmation as to what the device will be. It could be the recently announced Q5 or the device that should be ready by the holidays. Thorstein Heins had spoken to CNET confirming that another device would be ready around then. I think for variety they should offer an all touch and a keyboard phone.

When Sprint announced that they would not be carrying the BlackBerry Z10, there were some BlackBerry fans that were a little upset.  While Sprint would be carrying the Q10, it seemed that they would not be launching an all touch BlackBerry 10 device this year.  Well AllThingsD has thrown a log on the rumor fire by reporting that Sprint will be carrying a different all-touch BB10 device.

The rumored device is not expected to be available until some time later in 2013, but it should make its way to Sprint before the end of the year.  It only seems right that this would happen, especially since BlackBerry has said that they plan on releasing up to 6 BlackBerry 10 devices this year.

The report also states that the rumored all touch device is expected to by a follow-up device to the Z10, and not merely a spec bump to the original.  We are now wondering what exactly BlackBerry has up their sleeves for other BB10 devices that we will see this year.

We have seen quite a bit of news and rumors come out from #BEF13 this week.  Today is there is a new rumor regarding the Sprint BlackBerry Q10.  According to a carrier rep the sprint version fo the Q10 will be shipping to customers unlocked.

Now that unlocking your cellphone in the US is technically illegal, a gesture like this is that much more important.  Sprint is apparently shipping the Q10 unlocked to allow their customers to use the device overseas if needed.  The carrier rep also pointed towards the device hitting shelves in late April or early May.

Hopefully we will see other US carriers follow Sprint’s lead on this one, if it is in fact true.

Obviously the deal that Sprint had to make to carry the iPhone is having an effect on what full touch devices they are going to carry, but hopefully Sprint will eventually bring the BlackBerry Z10 into their lineup.
