Here we are in December already… Where did the time go??? We here at NerdBerry want to celebrate the holidays in a HUGE way! Starting today and ending on December 23 we are going to be running a Holiday Photo Contest from RIM and NerdBerry!!! We have TWO BlackBerry prize packs up for grabs. The two prize packs consist of one T-Mobile Branded BlackBerry Bold 9900 and one 32GB BlackBerry PlayBook!! We have put a lot of thought in to this contest and we have come up with the Holiday Photo Contest!

How do you enter? Of course you MUST do the regular stuff such as – “Like” our Facebook page, Follow us on Twiter, Subscribe to our YouTube Channel and leave a comment letting us know the top three have been completed…

Because this is such a huge contest we are going to throw in one more thing, don’t fret it is not hard. All you have to do is take a picture of your current smartphone next to your favorite holiday item such as your Christmas tree, favorite food, favorite ornament, favorite holiday movie, etc.. Send it in to us with a caption explaining why you chose that particular holiday item. Remember be creative, get your family involved after all it is the holidays and most of all have fun doing it!

Submit your photos via email to info@nerdberry.net Using the subject “Holiday Photo Contest from RIM and NerdBerry!!”. Photo’s must be received by no later then December 23rd 2012. On December 24th the NerdBerry team will post all of the photo’s and captions received and we will announce the two winners on December 25, 2012.

Sprint Works a Deal on Spectrum from US Cellular

Sprint has recently received a huge influx of cash from their new Japanese partner Softbank. Sprint has spent some of that cash on buying spectrum from US Cellular. With the purchase of the new spectrum from US Cellular they have also acquired about 585,000 users. The deal still has to have regulatory approval, which is said to happen by mid 2013.

The spectrum purchase will increase Sprint’s launch of LTE to the market and allow them to be more competitive in the market.

U.S. Cellular Launches “Hello Better” Campaign

Today U.S. Cellular is launching a new program for its customers called the “Hello Better” campaign. The big push of this campaign is to give wireless customers more reasons to switch to USC thru all of the promotional offers. Hit the break for more details.The “better” options of the U.S. Cellular promos range from an activation credit of up to $300 on a new account coupled with a train in program that will allow customers to receive up to $200 when they trade in their old devices.

When it comes to the plans that are available they have revamped them as well. Single line users can get unlimited voice/messaging for just shy of &70. Multi-line or family users can get that same plan for $99.99 for 2 lines. Data service is a la carte and will run $25 for 2GB of data per phone.
