With BlackBerry Live set to kick off on Tuesday, we will be flying into Orlando tomorrow to get all set up to bring you the most update BlackBerry coverage. Leaked: BlackBerry Z10 OS 10.1.0.1483 (STL100-2 STL100-3 STL100-4)

Well looky here!! OS 10.1.0.1483 has been leaked for the BlackBerry Z10, (models STL100-2, STL100-3 and STL100-4)! This leak is a full version of the OS, at this time we are not sure if it is buggy or what is up with this OS. If you see anything new or want to let us know what you think about this leaked OS feel free to let us know in the comments!

Make sure you verify what device you actually have, you can do this by typing “myver” in a text input, or check the About screen in the Settings menu. Be aware that this install is only for Windows users and not Mac users. Let us know in the comments what you think about this leaked OS.

Installation Instructions if needed:

Turn off your BlackBerry Z10.

Run the file that you just extracted.

Connect your Z10 to your usb cable and quickly turn it on.

The autloader should connect to your Z10 and start the process.

Sit back, have a coffee or a tea and wait until the process is finished.

When the autoloader has written 100%, the program will terminate and the window will close.

Disconnect your BlackBerry Z10 and wait for it to reboot.

Please note that we do not accept any responsibility for anything this does to your device. Please do not attempt to load this unless you are comfortable with what you are doing. You will need a Windows machine to use the loader, but if you do load it drop us a comment letting us know how it runs.

Tongue’s John Du Vernet Hired as BlackBerry’s Australian Marketing Director

A few months back there was a campaign that was ran in Australia called the “Wake Up” campaign that was developed and implemented by Tongue. The man behind the campaign was John Du Vernet and he has been appointed as the Marketing Director for BlackBerry’s Australia market. This is not a permanent position with BlackBerry but he is working this post indefinitely as there has been no date set for his return to Tongue.

Maybe Vernet can spur interest in the BlackBerry brand in Australia as he did with the creative Wake Up campaign in the past.

Fido Starts Taking Pre-Orders For BlackBerry 10 Devices

Fido has announced today that they are now taking pre-orders for BlackBerry 10 devices. Fido is one of the last Canadian carriers to get their pre-order going, but I am sure that they will most likely start carrying the phones pretty closely after the big national carriers like Bell, Rogers and TELUS.

If you are a Fido customer, or thinking of switching to Fido, then head on over to their pre-order page here. You have a $40 reservation fee put on your account, but it will be credited back once you pick up the phone and activate it.

BlackBerry 10 L-S1 Battery Goes For Sale Online

We have already seen cases and other accessories get listed for pre-order for the BlackBerry 10 devices, and now it is the turn of the batteries. Today the BlackBerry 10 L-S1 battery has appeared for sale online.

Expansys has listed SKU is ACC-51546-201, the battery to be used in the Z10, for a price tag of only $33.99. This is less than we have typically seen for OEM batteries in the past, so hopefully this is a trend for OEM accessories for the BlackBerry 10 devices.

Battery Life Of The BlackBerry Z10 (L-Series)

We have seen pretty much spec imaginable for the BlackBerry Z10 (L-Series) get leaked in the last little while, however battery life was one that had eluded everyone. N4BB has recently got their hands on a full spec listing for the BlackBerry Z10 and it includes the battery life ratings for the device, and it includes some good news.

The BlackBerry Z10 L-Series will feature an L-S1 battery. This is the same battery used in theBlackBerry Dev Alpha B (essentially a ‘London’ in a different shell). The L-S1 battery is 1,800mAh. Here’s the details on battery life:

GSM Talk Time: 8 hrs, GSM Standby Time: 305 hrs
UMTS Talk Time: 10 hrs, UMTS Standby Time: 285 hrs
Audio Playback: 60 hrs, Video Playback: 10 hrs

Battery life has always been one of my major issues with the Bold 9900 and some more recent devices, so it nice to see that the Z10 is rated for battery life equivalent to the iPhone 5. The Z10 is rated with better battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC OneX, os it looks like we will be getting top of the field battery life.

BlackBerry Z10 (L-Series) Specs Leaked!

Now this is what we are talking about tech specs for the BlackBerry 10 L-Series or Z10 have leaked out! The BlackBerry Z10 will feature a 4.2-inch display with a hi-def resolution of 1280 by 768, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 1,800 mAh battery!! The device will have a front 2MP 2X digial zoom and 720p video recording front facing camera and an 8MP 5X digital zoom and 1080p recording capability. The processor will be a super fast S4 Snapdragon.

These specs are still a rumor (but more confirmation with the images) until January 30th… The device is rumored to have four flavors at launch three of which will rock 4G LTE. Let us know what you think about the specs in the comments!

Suspected BlackBerry Z10 Dimensions And Weight

There have been a ton of leaks of the BlackBerry Z10, we have seen rumors about release dates and specs. On aspect of the device that hasn’t gotten a ton of coverage is the weight and dimensions of the device. The good news is that the weight of the Z10 looks to be only slightly more than the Bold 9900.

According to a Telekom-Presse article the weight and dimensions are,

BlackBerry Z10
Weight: 133g or 4.4 ounces
Dimensions: 129mm x 65mm x 8 mm or 5.07in x 2.56in x 0.31in

That puts the Z10 in line with other high-end smartphones like the Samsung GS3 (133g), the iPhone 5 (112g) and the Bold 9900 (130g). Probably the most positive part of the Telekom-Presse article is the following statement regarding BlackBerry 10.

One straight away – the operating system BlackBerry 10 is the most modern and progressive, which will be starting in February on the market. Four simple gestures are enough to the Z10 fast, reliable and easy to operate smoothly than anything is what you find on the market so far.It recalls in this respect to Nokia’s MeeGo.

The performance is excellent, as you can convince yourself in the video below. Everything is running very smooth and soft.

Now we have no idea whether or not they were using final hardware and software, but at this point in the game it has got to be close. With only 15 days left till the BlackBerry 10 launch, we are getting very anxious to get our hands on a Z10 and the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Leaked Screenshots Show BlackBerry 10 Maps

As we get closer to the launch of BlackBerry 10, we are starting to see more and more leaked images showing off the native applications baked in to the OS. We now have a nice spread of images showing off the native BlackBerry 10 Maps application! the images depict a older software version, one would expect to see Blackberry Navigator on BlackBerry 10 for turn-by-turn navigation. A look at the BlackBerry 10 Clock

Yesterday we had a nice look at Bedtime Mode on Blackberry 10, today we are taking a look at the Blackberry 10 clock. As you can see in the images below you have the regular clock (which we have seen before), The Stopwatch, World clock, and Timer. After seeing the Bedtime Mode clock on BlackBerry 10 we hope that we can use the same orange display for the regular clock as well. Hit the break to see all of the images.
