Here is the catch though accordeing to CB: “This one is tricky as it’s technically for the STL100-4 but has been tested and works on the STL100-2 and STL100-3 as well.”

Well id you are on model STL100-2 or -3 and you try this OS out let us know in the comments how it is working for you.

Download leaked OS 10.1.0.2009 for the BlackBerry Z10

Installation Instructions if needed:

Turn off your BlackBerry Z10.

Run the file that you just extracted.

Connect your Z10 to your usb cable and quickly turn it on.

The autloader should connect to your Z10 and start the process.

Sit back, have a coffee or a tea and wait until the process is finished.

When the autoloader has written 100%, the program will terminate and the window will close.

Disconnect your BlackBerry Z10 and wait for it to reboot.

Please note that we do not accept any responsibility for anything this does to your device.  Please do not attempt to load this unless you are comfortable with what you are doing.  You will need a Windows machine to use the loader, but if you do load it drop us a comment letting us know how it runs.

Just this morning we told you how BlackBerry Mexico posted a Tweet saying that we should see BlackBerry 10 on the BlackBerry PlayBook in a few weeks, well MFaroTusino on YouTube is hard at work trying to make it happen.
As you will see in the above video the PlayBook will boot and is currently using the BlackBerry 10 boot scrren and that is about it. Here is what the developer had to say: “Some progress with BB10 on the Playbook. The device boots, but nothing more..for now. I believe I can fix that, as I haven’t completed the procedure that I planned put in my head, so lets pray :) ”

A recent Tweet from BlackBerry Mexico has gotten our hopes up again! the Tweet is as follows: @BlackBerry_MEX: “Hello. In the next few weeks will be available OS10 update w/the #PlayBook ! Please be alert!”

It appears that the tweet has since been removed , so that just lets us speculate even more. What do you think? Is the PlayBook going to OS 10 or is it just a pipe dream? Let us know what you think in the comments.

BlackBerry is now selling both the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Curve 9220 in India on EMI. This is BlackBerry’s way of getting more customers in India by making it easier to buy the devices. By having a payment plan, in this case 0 down payment, no processing fee and no interest, it will be more affordable to the masses. And this deal can be found in BlackBerry’s certified stores. India, May 23, 2013: BlackBerry today announced the introduction of new EMI Schemes, for ‘BlackBerry Z10’ and ‘BlackBerry Curve 9220’ devices in India. Customers can now buy the BlackBerry Z10 via their credit cards (Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Kotak, SBI Card and Standard Chartered) by paying an EMI of Rs 4799 per month for 9 months. A similar scheme for BlackBerry Curve 9220 is available where customers can use their credit card to buy the device and pay an EMI of Rs 799 per month for 12 months.

Both the schemes have the unique feature of Rs.0 down payment, 0% processing fee and 0% interest and the plan will be rolled out in 3000 BlackBerry outlets across the country by this weekend. On top of it all Idea Cellular customers can avail a full 1-year unlimited data plan at just Rs. 999/year in 8* circles. The implementation of this scheme will be facilitated and overlooked by the financing companies and the carriers will have no role in the process.

The launch of this plan reasserts BlackBerry’s commitment to make smartphone experience more accessible and affordable to the masses, especially the upwardly mobile youth. The whole proposition of availing the premium experience of BlackBerry Z10 or Curve 9220 by paying a nominal EMI per month is definitely very lucrative and will definitely attract potential customers.

BlackBerry has posted the following information on their BlackBerry Dev Blog:

For those developers who’ve been part of the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha program with either a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha A or BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B, there’s a date upon which you may have been keeping a watchful eye: June 30th, 2013… the day the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha testing devices are set to be deactivated. Or are they?

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha testing devices were seeded to our development community in advance of the BlackBerry 10 launch to ensure hardware availability to our devs well ahead of launch. Now that launch has come and gone (and so too has the date for the BlackBerry 10 Limited Edition device!), those BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha testing devices start falling into the category of unsupported hardware since they were never intended to be a full commercial product nor do they support the full OS builds. But really, they still work, so why throw away a perfectly good device? Good news! You don’t have to.

If you saw the blog post advising devs of the BlackBerry 10.1 SDK OS update (SDK OS indicates that it’s not a full OS release, but rather an OS build that features a reduced set of apps – basically what you need to develop and build against), then you’ll be pleased to learn that the 10.1 SDK OS also had the side benefit of removing the date that was to disable the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha testing devices. In other words, for any BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha owners, if you’ve updated to the 10.1 SDK OS build, your device will continue to work beyond the June 30th date, with no imposed expiry date embedded in the OS.

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha A hardware will continue to be officially unsupported and the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B hardware will join those same ranks on June 30th, but if you want to continue to developing apps against those devices beyond that date, you’re welcome to do so.
