Leaked: OS 10.1.0.1916 for the BlackBerry Z10

For those of you with a BlackBerry Z10, either STL100-2 or STL100-3, there is a new leak for you to try out. We saw a leak of 10.1.0.1880 only last week, so it good to see that BlackBerry is working hard on new builds.

This specific build is signed as of May 16th, so you can imagine that there are already some newer builds floating around out there. As always with a leaked OS you need to know what you are doing and always make a backup. You can grab the leaked OS and instructions for using it below.

Installation Instructions if needed:

Turn off your BlackBerry Z10.

Run the file that you just extracted.

Connect your Z10 to your usb cable and quickly turn it on.

The autloader should connect to your Z10 and start the process.

Sit back, have a coffee or a tea and wait until the process is finished.

When the autoloader has written 100%, the program will terminate and the window will close.

Disconnect your BlackBerry Z10 and wait for it to reboot.

Instagram v3.4.4 .BAR for the BlackBerry z10 leaked

When Instagram first came out it took the world by storm. It was a global success and has been going strong ever since. With the addition on the z10, Q10, and now the new Q5, it shouldn’t be too much longer for the official release of the app. Until that happens we are forced to rely on leaks. And leaks are abundant in the BlackBerry community thanks to its faithful followers.

Now, leaks by nature, aren’t supposed to be daily drivers. There are a few issues that still need to be addressed. Nothing major really, just some minor functionality. For instance the keyboard for comments doesn’t work and the spacebar and backspace doesn’t either. Posting pictures, however, works just fine and according to sources the keyboard works for that.

BlackBerry R10 gets pictured again – this time in red

We know that BlackBerry is planning on releasing up to six BlackBerry 10 devices this year, and we have already seen a leak photo of the supposed R10. Well thanks to Instagram and people’s willingness to share anything and everything on there, we know have another photo of the R10 and this time it is in red.

It makes sense that we will see multiple colours of the R10, as it is expected to be Curve ranged devices of the BlackBerry 10 lineup. This will mean a lower price tag, and that it will be aimed at a younger crowd that will be more likely to want colourful devices opposed to the standard white and black.

We are hoping that we will get more news about the R10 and the other BlackBerry 10 devices that have yet to be leaked out at BlackBerry Live later this month.

This leak is a full version of the OS, at this time we are not sure if it is buggy or what is up with this OS. Make sure you verify what device you actually have, you can do this by typing “myver” in a text input, or check the About screen in the Settings menu. Be aware that this install is only for Windows users and not Mac users. Let us know in the comments what you think about this leaked OS.

Leaked: BlackBerry 10.1.0.1609 for the BlackBerry Z10 STL100-1

Last week we saw a leaked 10.1 OS for the BlackBerry Z10 models STL100-2, STL100-3 and STL100-4. Well now we have a leaked version of 10.1 for those Z10 users in Asia, Africa and the Middle East that are using a STL100-1.

The leaked version is 10.1.0.1609 and while we do not have a STL100-1 to try it on, we are hearing that the OS is working well and hasn’t shown any major bugs as of it. Please remember that this is a leaked OS and if you are going to load it, remember to make a full backup before attempting.

Leaked OS 10.1.0.1483 for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha C

We already saw this OS build leak out today for the BlackBerry Z10, and now we have it for the Dev Alpha C. Now of course you want to remember that this is not an official build and it can do some damage, but most of the reports coming in are saying that this is a pretty stable build.

Hopefully the folks out there that have a Dev Alpha C device know how to load a leaked OS properly, and will remember to make a full backup before loading it. However we will mention it again… Please remember to make a full backup prior to loading this OS. You can download the leaked OS from the link below. The following additional features are included in BlackBerry Link 1.1:

BlackBerry device disassociation

To stop associating your BlackBerry device with BlackBerry Link, you can remove your device from BlackBerry Link. After
you remove your device from BlackBerry Link, you can’t use BlackBerry Link to sync the data between that device and your
computer, or use the remote file access feature to access content on your computer from that device.
1. On your computer, open BlackBerry Link.
2. If necessary, sign out of BlackBerry ID.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click your device.

4. Click the icon.
5. In the Settings view, in the left pane, click Remove Device.
6. Click OK.

About the corporate liable policy

If your BlackBerry device is activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, some features of BlackBerry Link may be
restricted by IT policies. You should contact your administrator if you experience the following issues:

You can’t see your device in BlackBerry Link
You can’t back up your device data
You can’t see some of the media or documents that you saved from the work space on your device
You can’t restore data to your device
Some of your files aren’t synchronized

About importing music, pictures, videos, and documents

You can change the default locations where music, pictures, videos, or documents are imported to on your computer.
To change the default location where the files are saved, click the icon.

Features: BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.1

There has been a lot of speculation as to when BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 service pack 1 (BES 10.1) would launch well BB10.ch has published the new details on their website letting the world know what will come in May. This is great news for those of you that have BES 10 currently.

Merging of BDS, UDS and management studio in a single pack. There will only be one installation package for BES10 SP1
The Management Studio to get some extensions and integration in BDS / UDS is greatly enhanced
Deleting user from the Management Studio will be possible
Detailed info for each smartphone
Uniform interface for BES10/BES5
Evaluate options to export the data in BES10 by other means – Additional query options to carriers, platforms,

High Availability (HA) for BES10 (Active / Passive), similarly solved as in the old BES5

Creating “EMM Advanced Users “will be possible. (NOTE this allows advanced IT Policies)
Advanced Enterprise Mobility management is introduced. It will be possible to operate the BlackBerrys in a work-only mode, expand policies to drive as certain hardware features, personal elements, links, etc. restrict (80 policies)
New logging options for SMS / MMS / Phone / BBM / Video Chat / PIN in a CSV
Secure Workspace for iOS & Android devices. There will be Secure Email, calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, and browser. A rollout of business apps, which is also possible to communicate in a secure tunnel to the corporate network. Secure the container can be assigned to users via BES10. Of course, the Workspace (container) can be disabled via the Admin panel, deleted or deactivated. (Eg for a user leaves the company or the unit has lost)
All apps via the Secure Workspace pushed, have access to the corporate network and you do not care about the VPN. VPN go on mobile devices much to the detriment of the battery. It will probably be the case that even Android and iOS devices do not require direct connection to the BES10 and / or mail system. All traffic is routed through the RIM data center.
