With the announcement of the first fiscal quarter earnings call, RIM’s CEO Thorsten Heins has confirmed that they are going to release the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook devices. T-Mobile CEO Philipp Humm announced their plans for 4G LTE service, which will be available in 2013. T-Mobile will be investing approximately $4 Billion for “network modernization” and “4G evolution effort.” This also includes hiring more people (around 1000!) We know a lot is going on this year for RIM and now BGR has gotten a bit more information on RIM’s roadmap for 2012/Q1 2013. There info goes on to say the BlackBerry 10 devices will star shipping in the fall (knew that already).
