Reminder To Developers – You Only Have Till January 21st To Submit Your Apps For A Chance To Get A Limited Edition BlackBerry 10 Device
RIM posted a reminder this morning to developers that are hoping to get their hands on a limited edition BlackBerry 10 device. You will need to have your apps submitted to AppWorld by January 21st for your chance at getting the limited edition device.
The BlackBerry 10 Port-A-Thon that is currently under way is showing that developers are wanting to work with BlackBerry 10. The port-a-thon is running for 36 hours straight and I am sure that there are some very tired developers right now, but that hasn’t stopped them from submitting a large amount of apps.
In an effort to supplement existing tools for developers looking to use Qt, RIM will be holding a webcast this week. The webcast will cover multiple topics, as well as provide an opportunity for developers to ask questions of the experts at RIM.
The folks over at the BlackBerry DevBlog have added a new post that will benefit developers working with Cascades for their BlackBerry 10 apps. Developers have been asking for a method to make Cascades apps open faster since May.
With the launch of BlackBerry 10 getting closer and closer, RIM is doing everything they can to make it easy for developers. Today they have posted the guidelines for how to port iOS and Android NDK apps over to BlackBerry 10.
During the keynote at BlackBerry Jam Asia 2012, Research In Motion released some awesome statistics. All the way back to October 65% BlackBerry developers are satisfied with Research In Motion’s platform for development. Out of that 65%, 57% stated they would recommend BlackBerry 10 a development platform!
