TAT, The Astonishing Tribe was acquired by RIM and with the future of Blackberry Tablet OS which powers the Blackberry Playbook as well as the new Blackberry 10 OS. At DevCon Europe keynote TAT shows off even more applications for developers to use and that shall be soon available on the Blackberry Playbook. Check out the video!
RIM has made significant progress with the GitHub open source platform. Open Source is pretty solid development platform on the BlackBerry PlayBook, and now RIM has opened up the Quake3 Engine Port as well as the source code to developers by making it opensource making things more useful and easier using the new framework.
RIM already talked about the Playbook 2.0 OS being released in Feb 2012 at CES and not much more than that. But there are talks of upcoming products that will be released throughout the year.
