RIM’s acquisition of tinyHippos has started to shape into a strategy. RIM just announce that tinyHippos crew has refreshed their Ripple emulator Beta Program to support most of Blackberry’s WebWorks APIs. For those of you that are not familiar with what tinyHippos does; think mobile HTML 5 applications and you will be right where you need to be.
The big perk to the Ripple emulator is that you can place the WebWorks app on a local server and use the Ripple emulator to test the app without opening it within a simulator.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this in the future.
