Today at BlackBerry World, Jonas Norberg gave a sneak peak of what’s to be expected of Pacemaker for PlayBook. As of right now, BlackBerry PlayBook owners are lucky enough to be a part of the select few that will get to access this amazing new app. Think back to the original Tonium Pacemaker, all the necessary hardware included. Now imagine this: A sleek, virtual version of that Pacemaker, nearly identical in design layout to its predecessor, only this time making sure all aspects were easily accessible.
During the Keynote General Session, Norberg went on to talk about how Pacemaker developers were looking for the perfect mobile platform to create the app. After careful thought and consideration, they settled on our very own PlayBook for its spectacular QNX OS because it is, in his words, the only “true, real-time operating system” on any mobile device.
Pacemaker for PlayBook will drastically change the DJ experience, and that’s not even exaggerating. You will be able to mix, sync and scratch digital music, plus apply effects, loop and so much more.
As of right now, there’s no word on what other platforms will have the chance to get their hands on this app. Pacemaker for PlayBook however is nearly ready for its public debut in BlackBerry App World, hopefully appearing some time next month.
