Desktop Bridge for PlayBook Gets Released – Get BBM on your Desktop!

Pulsecode Engineering has released Desktop Bridge for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Desktop Bridge will basically allow to access any Bridge apps from your PlayBook from within a browser window on your desktop.  The app uses a SSL connection with your PlayBook and will wirelessly allow you to access your Bridge apps.

Finally, you can now access all of your e-mails, tasks, calendars, and most importantly, BBM™, from your desktop!

You’ll have instant access to all of your PIM applications on your desktop. Best of all, it’s all saved on your BlackBerry® phone, so there’s no need to worry about your data being lost!

Simply open the app on your BlackBerry® PlayBook™, and follow the instructions on the screen. Open the URL it displays in a web browser on any machine connected to your network, and you’ll be able to quickly respond to incoming e-mails and BBMs, without stopping what you’re already doing.

Note: This is a BlackBerry® PlayBook™ app that requires the use of a BlackBerry® phone connected via BlackBerry® Bridge. If you do not have all of these components, this app will not work for you.

You can pick up your copy of Desktop Bridge in App World for $4.99
