Rogers Plans to Acquire Score Media?

Toronto-based Score Media as we Blackberry user know the ScoreMobile app, is apparently in the talks of being purchased by Rogers. Not much has been given on the details of such but, the Globe is reporting that such a deal should be made public today, but with the market closing at a high today, it seems it maybe next week before such a deal is inked. Score Media at on point in time was asking $200 million for their assets, which includes TheScore Television network that includes a 6.8 million Canadians, as well as theScore.com including 1.2 million unique visitors per month, their mobile apps, plus the 290 employees that keep all of the backend of things moving.

“The network’s been in play since the day we launched, if you know what I mean,” Mr. Levy told The Globe and Mail in September when rumors of a possible sale first surfaced.

With the possibility of such news today ScoreMedia stocks surged 46% percent today! No official word on the acquisition yet keep it locked to Nerdberry and well let you know!

What do you think of the possible deal of Rogers and ScoreMedia?
