Dubai telecom, Du, has announced today that their BlackBerry customers could experience a service outage due to some scheduled maintenance. Du made a statement today to warn their customers of the potential outage for September 2nd.
“In the interest of our customers, we would like to proactively make our customers aware that, as part of a RIM’s regular service maintenance schedule, our BlackBerry services will be impacted for a maximum of one hour on September 2, between 4am-9am. During this time, customers may experience difficulty in using all BlackBerry services including sending and receiving messages; viewing email attachments; activating an email service and the request to ‘see more’ in an email,”
It is always nice when carriers give their customers a heads up on these outages. So if you are a Du customer and notice that your BlackBerry isn’t working properly on September 2nd, don’t panic! Service will be restored as soon as possible.
