The Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing (HKAIM) and Research In Motion hosted a briefing session on December 5, 2012. The briefing session was to show developers the business opportunities with BlackBerry 10. People that attended had the chance to have a live hands on demo of BlackBerry 10.
There was a huge amount of developers that attended the event and they were all very happy and excited for BlackBerry 10.
“The best aspects of building for BlackBerry are the huge BlackBerry user base and attractive monetization opportunities that are provided. Since we started in 2006, we have earnt more revenue from the BlackBerry platform than from any other platform. We have tried monetizing on other platforms but we found that it was not easy to do so.” said Patrick Kosiol, CEO of S4BB Limited, a well-known app developer in Hong Kong.
A BlackBerry Application Development Workshop will be held by HKAIM and RIM to offer tech support to devs, there will be the latest BlackBerry 10 handset onsite for testing.
