Sunil Lalvani announced as new BlackBerry Managing Director for India

Today BlackBerry has made it official who is going to be replacing Sunil Dutt as the Managing Director for India.  The man replacing him is Sunil Lalvani, who was previously in charge for enterprise business within India.  Dutt left the position back in March, and Rick Costanzo the company’s executive vice-president for global sales has been looking after things in India in the interim.

Lalvani had this to say about his new position within BlackBerry,

“BlackBerry is driving the adoption of its next generation of mobile computing platform with BlackBerry 10, and India is a key market for growth of the powerful platform. As I take up this new role, our focus will be to drive differentiated solutions for consumers and enterprise customers in India, providing a unique mobility experience that harnesses the full range of the BlackBerry offering.”

It is great to see that BlackBerry has now permanently filled the Managing Director position in India, especially since it is such a huge market for them.  We wish Mr. Lalvani all the best in his new position within BlackBerry.
