Using Evernote on the BlackBerry Playbook or BBOS 7 device? You may want to read this!

If you are still using Evernote on a BlackBerry OS 7 device or the BlackBerry Playbook, you will not like what you are about to read… Evernote is officially ending support for their application on both the Playbook and BBOS 7 devices. Here is what Evernote had to say:

As of February 7th, we’ll be retiring Evernote Hello, Evernote Peek, Evernote for BlackBerry 7, and Evernote for BlackBerry PlayBook. This means they’ll no longer be available for download and we won’t be making any further updates to them. It also means that the apps or features within the apps, including sync with Evernote, will no longer work. / We’re focusing on modern operating systems and have a great version of Evernote for BlackBerry 10.

If you are worried about losing your note forever, don’t worry. All of your notes will still be available via the website. You just won’t be able to access them on the PlayBook or a BBOS 7 device.

Well, at least you can sideload the Android version on the Playbook. I have not done that yet but i have heard that the Android version was better than the native version. I used the native version and it was about on par with the web version IMHO

Just as long as they keep supporting BlackBerry 10.

How does Evernote Android run on Playbook? Every Android app I tried on my PlayBook ran like shit.
